* The current Queensland Championship system was introduced in 2014.
* Peter Wright's Peruvian sow, Hedon Witchery, became the first Queensland State Champion. She was also the first cavy from the Longhair Group to become a Queensland State Champion and the first Sow.
* The first Queensland Grand Champion was the Coronet boar, Kolora Xaviah, bred and exhibited by Donna Wright.
* A Merino boar, Walters Wish Upon A Star became the first second generation Queensland State Champion. His mother, Walters Make A Wish, was the first Merino to be awarded a Queensland State Champion title. Both cavies were bred and exhibited by Shane Walters & Yasuko Koyama.
* A Tortoise & White boar, Kyan Koolabah became the first marked animal to be made a Queensland State Champion and a Double Champion. He was bred and exhibited by Jan & Allan Louttit.
* Queensland's first Self QCC Champion was a Self PE White, Lathor Sibyl, in November 2014. This sow was exhibited by Shanae Hansell and bred by Louise La Trobe.
* The first Satin QCC Champion was Kyan Devil's Mistress, a Satin Self PE White sow owned by Jan & Allan Louttit. She made champion in November 2014.
*Shane Walters & Yasuko Koyama bred and exhibited the first cavy from the Crested group to become a champion. Walters Nat Dream, an English Crested PE White became a QCC Champion in November 2014.
* The first Ticked QCC Champion was the Chocolate Agouti boar, Kudos Confundus, bred and exhibited by Jen Ballin. Confundus had his title recognised in December 2014.
* Queensland's first Coarse Coat Champion was Farrowlea Archie, a Rex boar exhibited by Jody Urquhart and bred by Bec Hesse. Archie was also recognised in February 2016 as the first Coarse Coat Double Champion and Grand Champion.
