Condition Judge News
Emma Murphy (Capricornia Cavy Club Inc.) is Queensland's newest Condition judge. Emma breeds and exhibits standard bred cavies under the Wild Lily and Wild prefixes in the Rockhampton region. Kimberley Meddings is the newest trainee Condition judge. Based on the Sunshine Coast, Kimberley breeds and exhibits standard bred cavies under the B & K prefix.
First Condition judgesQueensland's first Condition judges have qualified and have been judging what were previously known as 'pet classes'. Congratulations to Sarah Fronis and Shane Walters. These classes are now referred to as condition classes and are for pet quality, cross-breeds, and those that don't meet and standard breed criteria. The QCC Senior Judges panel will announce shortly the 2021 intake for Condition Judge trainees.
All Shows Count for QLD Championship The Queensland Cavy Council members voted to remove restrictions on how many shows per month can be claimed towards championship points. Exhibitors can backdate points to the beginning 0f 2020. Further updates to the the Qld Championship system are expected.
